JH was co-founded in 2012 by Peter Colon, George Theodore, and Shane
McIntyre. These individuals have years
of experience in insurance, marketing and technology. Started with an initial investment of $270,000
in 2012. JH has attracted interest from
some of the largest healthcare insurance providers in the U.S. JH has been a profitable, operating web
business since 2013. Over the course of
24 months spanning it 2013-2015 fiscal years
JH has a proven, market tested team who have developed a third
generation web property designated to meet the health care needs of today’s
consumers. The current web property uses
the same proven sales and marketing principles that where effective over the
past two open enrollment periods, 2013-2014 period.
To further facilitate its business plan, JH maintains a state of
the art call center with licensed agents, case managers and customer service
representatives. JH also leverages its
extensive marketing expertise to lower the cost of acquisitions, increase
upsells and maintain a high persistency rate.
The company’s revenue are primarily comprised of commissions
earned for insurance policies issued to consumers/members. JH realizes revenue upon the member’s
acceptance of a policy. Commissions are derived from the sale of ACA complaint
health plans (on-exchange and off-exchange) and supplementary products. Commission rates for all insurance plans are
approved in advance by the respective insurance carriers.
